Our Mission
The Heart of the City Mission Foundation provides services to inner-city, low-income children and adults. The Foundation’s focus is to break the cycle of poverty of inner-city families by providing young people with education, tutoring, music lessons, life-skills mentoring, and support services to help them become financially independent and successful as adults. The resulting self-sufficient adults are offered continued nurturing and support through the Heart of the City’s various programs.

Heart of the City gives a big thanks to Shambaugh Electrical Contractors for updating a broken disconnect switch on one of the A/C units on the roof of the Cass Street building.
Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne Grant

Heart of the City is very happy and excited to announce it has received a much needed and useful grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne to support its Food Rescue and Food Distribution programs.
Hearts, Horseshoes & HEROES!
